Progression in Chop A Forest is the full loop applied to a larger objective: clear the current area, convert logs into Coins, improve the tool-and-hauling cycle, unlock the next stage, and eventually fell every tree and cash out. The official Roblox description supplies the goal, while the badge API confirms the full-clear condition and three timed milestones.

Use this hub to separate stable objectives from route details that can change. The names and conditions of all 13 official badges are first-party facts. Zone names, unlock thresholds, the fastest purchase order, and the exact timer behavior still need the current game or a reproducible run.

Stable official milestones

The badge API confirms five kinds of progress. Welcome to the Forest marks the first join. Timber!, Lumberjack, Forest Feller, and Legendary Logger mark 10, 100, 1,000, and 10,000 trees. Sharp Start, Chainsaw Wielder, Clean Sweep, and Demolition Expert mark purchases of the Axe, Chainsaw, Log Vacuum, and Dynamite.

The completion badge is Forest Cleared: fell every tree in a forest and cash out. The timed badges are Speedrunner under 3 hours, Speed Demon under 2 hours, and Timber Tornado under 90 minutes. The badges guide provides a complete 13-entry index with IDs and official conditions.

These conditions do not reveal the internal timer start, pause behavior, team eligibility, disconnect rules, or delayed-award behavior. Treat those details as live test questions rather than inventing rules from the threshold names.

Clear one area cleanly

Work from a visible boundary toward a known exit so you do not leave isolated trees behind. Empty your current carrying capacity before it blocks pickup, and stage logs in a consistent place if a vehicle or teammate will collect them.

When the area looks empty but the next route stays locked, sweep the perimeter, hills, paths, and spaces behind structures. Current walkthroughs report that stumps or rows blocking the way can matter and that the game can require areas in order. The clear-the-forest guide turns this into a recovery checklist.

Do not spend several minutes pushing into a locked future stage. Return to the current area, verify the clear signal, and look for a final target. A complete stage should give you a visible change such as an unlock or new route, not merely a personal belief that the trees are gone.

Read zones without freezing an unverified map

Independent guides and videos use area or biome names, including references to Oakwood and Birch, but the official description does not publish a complete zone list. The zones guide therefore focuses on order, unlock signals, shop access, and route recording rather than claiming an exhaustive map.

Record each zone exactly as the live UI displays it. Note the entrance, selling point, tool or vehicle access, current tree resistance, and the signal that opens the next stage. Keep a check date because an update can rename an area or change its requirement.

Avoid creating a boss route from a single guide claim. The audit evidence did not establish a consistent official boss system for this experience. If a current stage contains a special obstacle, describe the visible interaction without promoting it into an unsupported category.

Build a route before chasing time

Complete at least one normal forest clear. Record where time was lost: weak cutting, scattered pickup, small carrying capacity, Garage travel, missed trees, shopping, or team coordination. A speedrun plan should fix those observed delays in order.

The first official target is under 3 hours. Once that clear is repeatable with room to spare, aim for under 2 hours. Treat 90 minutes as a separate optimization problem rather than trying to skip straight to it. The speedrun guide uses checkpoint splits and evidence labels without pretending the route is final.

For friends, assign roles and decide who makes purchases. More players can increase cutting coverage but also create duplicated spending, scattered logs, and unclear area checks. A route is faster only when the team shares a plan.

Choose upgrades for the current stage

Measure the stage loop. If one tree consumes most of the interval, improve cutting. If logs cover the ground, improve collection. If full loads force repeated travel, increase capacity or use a vehicle. If a stage is dense, assess area-clearing tools after checking their cost and persistence.

Avoid maxing every early node before seeing the next area. Keep enough Coins to adapt when a later tool, Garage option, or zone shop becomes available. At the same time, do not hoard so aggressively that every sale remains slow.

Permanent Classes, perks, and vehicles compete for Gems. Choose the lasting improvement that helps the repeated stages in your route, and verify current values before following a tier list.

Recover a stalled forest

If the progress indicator will not advance, stop shopping and sweep the active area. Look behind the seller, shop, Garage, trees near boundaries, raised ground, and any route obscured by stumps. Use a consistent left-to-right or perimeter-to-center sweep so you do not revisit the same space.

If a clear does not cash out, locate the current objective marker or end interaction and confirm that the game registered all trees. The official badge explicitly includes cashing out, so felling the final tree may not be the last input.

If a badge does not award immediately, confirm that it is enabled, wait for the server to update, and rejoin once. Record the badge condition, time, run type, and visible completion state before reporting a problem.

Progression FAQ

What is the main goal?

The official experience offers a large sum for cutting every tree. The official Forest Cleared badge adds that you must cash out after felling them all.

How many badges are there?

The official API returned 13 enabled badges on October 17, 2026.

What are the speedrun targets?

The official thresholds are under 3 hours, under 2 hours, and under 90 minutes. Timer and team rules still require live verification.

Do runs save?

The official description says solo and friend runs save. Exact save-slot, ownership, and timer behavior should be checked in the current UI.
